Audi e-tron
The Audi e-tron is the is the first Audi electric car and the most-advanced Audi yet, driven by two electric motors that produce up to 300kW (or 408PS) of power, and combined with the legendary quattro AWD indicates a bright new fully electric automotive dawn. The Audi e-tron is a 5-door SUV through and through with all of the latest technology that you would expect and sacrifices nothing to performance; with electric motors front and rear propelling this full-sized SUV from 0-62mph in less than 6 seconds. Furthermore, unlike a traditional internal combustion engine powered vehicle, the acceleration is almost instant, providing a thrilling sensation from launch.
You can be confident that the Audi e-tron goes the distance too, with a maximum driving range of up to 237 miles - Conveniently recharging is possible in a number of ways; either at home via a domestic power socket or with a specially fitted wallbox for a quicker charging time, or alternatively out on the road via a dedicated high-power charging station where the Audi electric car can be recharged to 80% within just 30 minutes and to 100% within 50 minutes.
Just like charging your mobile phone, putting your e-tron on charge will become second nature. Industry experts forecast that most EV charging will take place at home or at the office, meaning for the majority of commutes you may never need to use a public charging station - Charging overnight also means you could benefit from cheaper night-time electricity tariffs. When did you ever get a discount on Petrol or Diesel fuel!
It’s also worth noting that financial help is available towards the cost of installing a home wallbox with a government grant of up to £500 through the Electric Vehicle Home-charge Scheme (EVHS) providing you meet certain criteria.
