New Audi Q3 Sportback SUV Available to Order in September
Audi has always been a manufacturer keen on trendsetting, and the introduction of the new Audi Q3 Sportback SUV is yet more confirmation that the carmaker has its finger on the consumer pulse.
The Audi Q3 Sportback SUV is half car, half fashion statement. The vehicle's aggressive, masculine lines and high driving position make it a dominant force on the road. The German automaker markets it as such, proudly proclaiming that it's designed for "trendsetting fashion" and an "exclusive clientele."
The bodywork of the Audi Q3 Sportback SUV is impressive, but it pales in comparison to the technology onboard. Audi has invested millions of euros into developing auto tech that can compete with the best manufacturers in the world, including rivals Mercedes and BMW.
Audi Q3 Sportback SUV Technology
The New Audi Q3 Sportback will feature a 10.1-inch high-resolution touchscreen panel in the middle of the dashboard which will allow the user to control most aspects of the car's operation. Audi also says that it will fit its proprietary virtual cockpit to the new Q3 Sportback, providing drivers with a stunning visual interface that they can use to display information.
No modern car would be complete without a range of driver-assist technologies, and the new Audi Q3 Sportback is no different. The vehicle comes with an enormous number of features designed to make navigating through crowded and congested cities easier for the driver.
Audi's pre-sense technology, for instance, aims to eliminate one of the most common types of accident during city driving - the rear shunt. The pre-sense technology uses sensors at the front of the vehicle to detect whether the driver is about to plough into the car in front. If it doesn't think that the driver is going to depress the brake pedal, it'll initiate an emergency stop.
Like many other vehicles on the market, the new Q3 will also help drivers when racking up motorway miles. The new Q3 comes with adaptive cruise control for stop-start motorway congestion you find on UK roads, as well as a handy lane departure warning if you happen to accidentally stray.
Audi Q3 Sportback SUV Engine Options
The new Sportback will come in two engine variants. The first is a turbodiesel TDI which will offer 150PS. Audi says that it will allow buyers to choose between two-wheel drive or the company's famous Quattro. The second engine type os a turbocharged petrol TFSI. Two types of petrol engine are available: an economical 1.5 L variety and a larger 2.0 L that will produce 190 PS.
Interestingly the smaller of the two engines is a hybrid and uses Audi's mild-hybrid drivetrain where the company pairs a small lithium-ion battery with the main motor.
Finally, the interior of the car will feature a plethora of familiar Audi features. Not only do you get the two-piece instrument panel featuring the 10.1-inch touch screen controls, but also the company's trademark beautiful interiors.
The Q3 is, therefore, something of a statement vehicle that will make you stand out on the road. It's a stunning design that will remain in fashion for many years to come.
