Cited as quite possibly the most universal-use machine on the road today, the Audi A6 Allroad is making waves in the automotive road. Once you get behind the wheel of this machine, you'll struggle to justify buying that Range Rover you had your eye on!
The Audi A6 Allroad is the third generation of the Audi SUV-estate pioneer. It's got a slightly higher ride-height, beefier body styling, and a luxurious and stylish interior. There is an understated refinement for those who need an SUV on the road, but don't really want to buy one. The Quattro permanent four-wheel drive that the Allroad offers makes for greater agility, and with its powerful engine and suspension system, it's a responsive all-rounder.
To look at, the A6 Allroad doesn't really look too much different from the A6 Avant. However, the front bumper is wider, and the fenders are a little more flared than the usual. The suspension setting lowers the car by 1mm from the norm, and so it handles as well as the standard A6 Avant.
When you slip the Allroad into "comfort" mode, it's as good as it gets. There is a quality to it that makes for very little noise and a ton of space for five passengers. Whether you're on the rougher roads or the wet and muddy ones, the Allroad has excellent handling and superb body control which allows for much faster progress.
Ride in the comfort or the automatic setting for a perfect balance between precision and ride. The Avant had incredible steering feel, and this is no different with the Allroad.
The Audi A6 Allroad is sleek, which actually may not suit some customers. The appeal of the previous car was in the fact it looked like it could tow a horse across a field, but just because the look has changed, doesn't mean that you can't still tow that same horsebox.
The versatility of the Allroad will suit any outdoor enthusiast, mainly due to the 555 litres of boot space you are generously provided. When you put the rear seats down - yes, this is possible - that space grows to 1680 litres, which is enormous. The roof rails on top can carry up to 120kg, and with a 2500kg towing capacity, the Allroad is capable of a more massive load.
You get to choose between two trim options: the Allroad and the Allroad Sport. The A6 has bi-xenon headlights, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, hill descent control, and a powered tailgate. The interior is well-equipped with an infotainment system that is top of the line - as is anything from Audi!
This includes a 6.5in display, DAB radio, Sat Nav and multimedia interface to be enjoyed on the leather upholstery and heated front seats.
The A6 Allroad is the perfect option for those who need an SUV but don't want to purchase one. There is way more off-road prowess than you would expect with this model, and the on-road ability is of high quality. For your new Audi A6 Allroad, head to Sinclair Audi in South Wales.
