Latest Audi A4 Avant Features Styling Updates and New Technologies
If you’re looking for a vehicle with that quintessential Audi comfort and all of the latest technological updates, then the Audi A4 Avant might be just the vehicle for you.
Over recent years, Audi has invested enormously in new auto technology, and this year, we’re beginning to see all that R&D bear fruit. The Audi A4 Avant is a car packed with technology and yet retains that classic, somewhat humble Audi exterior styling.
Audi claims that the new A4 is a do-it-all vehicle that provides ample space, incredible looks, and lots of room for your luggage, including skis.
New Audi Technology
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the new vehicle is the plethora of technology. The car, like many others in the current Audi range, comes with the company’s proprietary Audi Virtual Cockpit. The new feature, Audi says, gives its vehicles a “state-of-the-art” look and helps make driving more comfortable.
For those of you who don’t know, the Audi Virtual Cockpit is a high-resolution display which goes where you’d typically find the instruments panel in most older vehicles. Because it is an HD display, the resolution is fabulous and the image ultra-sharp. The benefit of the screen in the new A4 is that it means that drivers don’t need to keep looking to their side to view data on the centre console. Instead, a quick look down tells them everything they need to know, including their speed, RPM, and where they are currently navigating to.
The A4 also features additional technologies, including a reversing camera and a fully-paid-for subscription for 36 months to Audi Connect which lets you turn your car into an internet hotspot, providing web connectivity from your vehicle.
Audi A4 Design Updates
The A4 is a car that continues to evolve. This year is no different. The Avant features some of the most stunning styling we’ve seen from the company so far. Although the changes to the exterior are impressive, it’s on the interior where the vehicle really shines. The central console containing the shift lever and sport mode option is an ensemble of black lacquer, metallic finish and leather. It looks stunning. On high-end versions of the Avant, you also get tanned leather seats which provide a nice contrast to the rest of the mainly black and silver interior.
On the outside, Audi has made some adjustment to the front of the car. The large front grille is as menacing as ever, and the large side inlets give the vehicle a distinctly sporty look.
What’s impressive about the A4 Avant, though, is how it gives you the best of both worlds. It’s ideal for commuting every day because of the company’s legendary reliability and build quality. But it’s also great for when you want to have fun and go for a cruise. The acceleration and performance of the car are admirable for the price you pay.
The new A4 Avant comes with Audi’s 2.0 turbocharged diesel engine and develops over 190PS. Buyers get a seven-speed S-Tronic transmission and the company’s Quattro four-wheel-drive system.
